Advanced Dental Technology for Precise Care

Intra-oral imaging gives you a detailed view of your mouth in crystal-clear pictures and videos. A small, handheld wand with a specialized camera captures every detail of your teeth and gums, revealing small cracks, stress marks and buildup that the naked eye often misses. By displaying these images on a screen, we can show you exactly what we see, explain your dental health clearly and help you understand the reason for any recommended treatment.

Digital sensors capture detailed x-ray images with a fraction of the exposure of traditional film x-rays. These advances bring real benefits, from safety to better treatment results. At South Bay Dental Loft in Torrance, CA, Dr. Gloria Luong uses digital x-rays to diagnose conditions with exceptional clarity while keeping radiation exposure low and your visit comfortable.

Our Vatech Green X is an all-in-one imaging system that takes 3D cone beam CT (CBCT) scans, panoramic x-rays and cephalometric x-rays in a single unit. A 3D CBCT scan shows your teeth, jawbone, nerves, sinuses and jaw joints from every angle, so we can measure bone, locate nerves and plan treatment with precision before we begin.

Green X is designed for low dose imaging. Its advanced reconstruction software produces clear, diagnostic images at a lower x-ray dose, and most scans take only seconds while you stand comfortably in the unit. Having this technology in our Torrance office means no separate trip to an imaging center for implant planning, wisdom teeth and oral surgery evaluations, root canal diagnosis, TMJ assessment or orthodontic records.
